About Kirsten

Kirsten is a British/Canadian award winning artist–scholar. Her current home base is Montreal, QC where she is completing a SSHRC funded PhD in Communications (Gender Option) with a specialisation in sound studies, misophonia, and disability.

Kirsten trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in London, England and has appeared on London’s West End. In America, she performed alongside Peter Dinklage (GoT) and toured Europe and Kuwait in theatre and musicals.  From 2006-2009, Kirsten edited and hosted English language TV shows whilst working in Daegu and Seoul, South Korea.  She can be seen on the BBC, Channel 4, The Discovery Channel, ITV and Lifetime. 

She coaches voice and dialects to actors worldwide in Film/TV and theatre (Taylor Russell, Paul Greene, and Ryan Kennedy). She also works regularly with clients on vocal issues such as fatigue, strain, voice loss, and nodules/polyps and with the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Kirsten is an active freelance grant writer and audio transcriber.

Kirsten helped to develop many award winning and nominated musical artists and shape their artistry in the form of: singing & vocal training, musical development, producing, arranging, songwriting, and co-writing. A few notable musicians are:
